Apple has announced that co-founder and former CEO of the company, Steve Jobs, has passed away at age 56.

Jobs fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer, which forced him to take a number of leaves of absence while he was the CEO of Apple. His health then forced him to resign this past August, leaving Tim Cook as his successor.

Apple announced its new iPhone, the iPhone 4S, The new iPhone features a speedy dual-core A5 processor, an 8MP camera/camcorder with full HD video image stabilization and noise reduction as well as offering a new voice control system named Siri. iPhone 4s will be available on October 14 in the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and Australia in addition to the U.S.

The successor to the original Wave, Samsung Wave II S8530, is finally available in the UK. The Wave II runs Bada 1.2 OS.
The Samsung Wave II featuring a 3.7-inch Super Clear LCD display, a 5 MP camera with LED flash, a 1 GHz processor, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 2 GB of internal memory , and a 1500 mAh battery.
The Samsung Wave II is available on UK now from O2 , Orange and Vodafone.

Motorola has officially split into two separate companies on January 4 Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions. Motorola Mobility will focus on cell phone and cable set-top boxes. Motorola Solutions will make radios and barcode scanners to government agencies and large companies.
The two companies will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on January 4.

Google and Samsung launched the Nexus S runing Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
The Nexus S features a 4 inch curved display, and a 5 mp camera with LED flash. It also has 16GB of internal memory, NFC technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and 1500 mAH Lithum Ion battery.
The Nexus S will be available in US on December 16 for $529 unlocked or $199 with two year T-Mobile contract. And in UK on December 20 for £549.95 unlocked.



Nokia C7 is expected to arrive to Vodafone UK and T-Mobile UK at the end of October, Nokia C7 powered by the new Symbian^3 OS.
The Nokia C7 has a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, an 8-mp camera and a stainless steel and glass chassis that’s 10.5mm thick. 8 GB of internal storage, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and both an FM radio and FM transmitter. The battery last for up to 552 hours of standby time and 9.3 hours of talk time.

Today Apple has annonced the iPhone 4 at the WWDC conference.
The iPhone 4 features a 3.5 inch Retina Display, a 5 megapixel camera, 5x digital zoom, and a 720p resolution HD video recording. also comes with a large battery for up to 7 hours of talk time and over 300 hours of standby time.
Iphone 4 will cost $199 for 16GB model and $299 for 32GB. and will be available starting June 24 in US, UK, France, Germany and Japan.

Motorola Inc has just announced MILESTONE XT720 in UK, the first Android phone to have a Xenon Flash and one of the world’s slimmest 8 MP cell phones.
